    • CALS CPR Training

      Friday, September 11

      1 pm – 5 pm

      Many healthcare jobs require CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) training, and this course knocks it out for free, right on campus.

      CALS Career Services is offering American Heart Association BLS certification, the credential tailored to healthcare professions, at no cost to CALS students. Sessions are small (10 students each), hands-on, and led by a certified instructor from BadgerEMS.

      Note:
      - This session is open to CALS students only.
      - If you are looking for general CPR certification for non-professional reasons, this course is different, and we recommend you obtain that credential through another source, such as RecWell or UWPD.
      - Please only sign up for ONE session.

      If this session fills up, don't worry: we're running three sessions this semester. Check Handshake for the other dates and to register. Spots fill on a first-come, first-served basis.       Learn about ways to get involved in leadership and co-curricular activities and get information about the UW-Madison Leadership Certificate. Snacks provided!

      This event is co-hosted with the Office of Student Organization, Leadership, & Involvement (SOLI).

      Interested in studying or interning abroad as a CALS major? Want to hear how other CALS students made their study abroad dreams a reality? Join this session with FREE PIZZA for a brief presentation on study abroad basics, and a panel of CALS students who studied abroad in a variety of countries, taking classes, and doing research abroad. There will be time at the end to chat with panelists and CALS Study Abroad Advisors.

      The Career & Internship Fair is open to all enrolled students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, plus recent alumni who graduated within the past two years. Regardless of major, degree level or College, all are welcome to attend and take advantage of the opportunities presented at the Fair. Business casual attire is welcome & accepted!

      If you identify as a student from a rural or small town (not just in Wisconsin), join us to enjoy lunch and fellowship, as well as hear from a panel of faculty, staff, and students about their experiences at UW-Madison. This event is co-hosted with the WI Small Town and Rural Students College Network (STARS).

      Learn about what potential opportunities are available to you in the biotech/biohealth field by attending the Biotech Connector on October 6th from 4:30-7pm at the Discovery Building! Alumni, recruiters, and supervisors will be there to give you answers and provide directions on potential pathways available to you in the Biotech field. There is something for everyone to take away from this event.

      Go behind the scenes at the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory and discover how forensic science supports criminal investigations across the state.
