CALS CPR Training
Friday, September 11
1 pm – 5 pm
Many healthcare jobs require CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) training, and this course knocks it out for free, right on campus.
CALS Career Services is offering American Heart Association BLS certification, the credential tailored to healthcare professions, at no cost to CALS students. Sessions are small (10 students each), hands-on, and led by a certified instructor from BadgerEMS.
Note:
- This session is open to CALS students only.
- If you are looking for general CPR certification for non-professional reasons, this course is different, and we recommend you obtain that credential through another source, such as RecWell or UWPD.
- Please only sign up for ONE session.
If this session fills up, don't worry: we're running three sessions this semester. Check Handshake for the other dates and to register. Spots fill on a first-come, first-served basis. The Career & Internship Fair is open to all enrolled students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, plus recent alumni who graduated within the past two years. Regardless of major, degree level or College, all are welcome to attend and take advantage of the opportunities presented at the Fair. Business casual attire is welcome & accepted!
WI DNR Career Preview Day
Wednesday, September 30
5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
The WI DNR employs over 2,000 employees that serve all 72 counties in Wisconsin with roles in natural resource management, environmental science, fisheries and wildlife biology, forestry, water resources, conservation enforcement, engineering, business and finance, IT, communications, public affairs, and more! Attend this event to informally meet with alumni and unit representatives to learn how you can explore learning and career opportunities at the WI DNR.
Biotechnology Student-Employer Connector

4:30 pm – 7 pm
Learn about what potential opportunities are available to you in the biotech/biohealth field by attending the Biotech Connector on October 6th from 4:30-7pm at the Discovery Building! Alumni, recruiters, and supervisors will be there to give you answers and provide directions on potential pathways available to you in the Biotech field. There is something for everyone to take away from this event.
Culvers Headquarters Site Visit

Culvers Headquarters
Visit Culver's Headquarters to see how a beloved Wisconsin company supports more than 1,000 restaurants nationwide. Discover career opportunities across business, marketing, supply chain, finance, human resources, information technology, and more. Meet with company representatives to learn about Culver's culture and upcoming internship opportunities. Transportation provided. Students must register on Handshake to attend.
Food and Agricultural Student-Employer Connector

WI State Crime Lab Site Visit

Wisconsin State Crime Lab
Go behind the scenes at the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory and discover how forensic science supports criminal investigations across the state. Learn how experts analyze DNA, toxicology, fingerprints, and other evidence while exploring career opportunities in forensic science, biochemistry, biology, and related STEM fields. Transportation provided. Students must register on Handshake to attend.
