CALS students have access to UW–Madison’s 300+ study abroad programs in more than 80 countries. Programs can range from one-week experiences to semester- or year-long programs, and everything in between. CALS Study Abroad, in partnership with International Academic Programs (IAP), offers a variety of international academic experiences for students of all majors! These include Short-Term Field Experiences, Summer Research and Internship Opportunities, and Semester-Long Exchange or Direct Enroll Programs at top universities around the world.
If you have questions about a specific program, please visit the Contact tab at the bottom of each program’s page.
These short-term programs are often led by UW-Madison faculty (though not always) and typically involve 12-18 students who travel together for 2-3 three weeks during winter, spring, or summer break.
