Welcome to the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at UW–Madison!

At CALS, we’re committed to your college experience and giving you what you need to grow your future.

    Find your people

With smaller class sizes you’ll build relationships with your professors and faculty to grow your network and future opportunities for things like research projects, internships and study abroad.

Get involved with one of CALS supported student organizations where you’ll meet new people, gain leadership skills and stand out to future employers.

Make the transition to college less stressful by enrolling in the CALS QuickStart summer program. You’ll take a 1-credit online course where you explore your interests, learn about resources across campus, and have the opportunity to move to campus early.

    Find your path

CALS students develop real-world skills that launch them into careers addressing sustainability, biotechnology, human health, food systems, farm management, nutrition, wildlife and so much more in our five areas of study.

Academic Advising and Career Services will have you covered from picking the major that’s right for you to helping you access internships and jobs from top employers.
