Are you a student that has already been admitted to CALS? Congratulations! We have a variety of resources available to students to assist you in making your decision to join CALS and to help you get a strong start once you have committed to CALS.
Attend Admitted Students Events
Admitted CALS students are invited to participate in specialized admitted student programming during the spring term. More details will be sent to admitted students.
Apply to CALS Quickstart
QuickStart is a CALS program for incoming first-year students. Applications are accepted until early May. Quickstart students get an early start on UW-Madison coursework, build connections with CALS students, faculty, and staff early, and can move-in early to campus housing. Scholarships are available.
Register for Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR)
Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR) is the first step in your transition to UW-Madison. At SOAR, you will enroll in your first-semester courses and learn about the array of academic and social opportunities available to you.
CALS Information Sessions
Information sessions are a great opportunity for prospective first-year and transfer students to visit campus and learn more about CALS majors, opportunities, and resources. Admitted students are welcome to participate in these events as well.
