Diagnostic Labs

The following facilities offer diagnostic services to the community:

Insect Diagnostic Lab: Provides identification of insects and insect damage. Primary services are available for Wisconsin citizens and commercial businesses.

Plant Disease Diagnostics Clinic: Provides assistance in identification and control of plant diseases. Services include tests for bacterial, fungal and viral plant pathogens. Also available from the clinic are a wide range of educational materials and publications.

Soil and Forage Lab: Located in Marshfield, Wisconsin, the UW Soil and Forage Lab offers a wide range of diagnostic services to campus researchers and the general public. Services include soil, forage, manure and plant tissue analysis for anyone engaged in agriculture, commercial horticulture and home horticulture.

Turfgrass Diagnostic Lab: Provides diagnostic information and management recommendations for all turf health issues concerning both commercial turfgrass managers and homeowners.
