Heidi ZoerbAssociate Dean for External Relations and Advancement, oversees the college’s external relations efforts, leads the CALS communications team, works with the UW Foundation to advance the college’s development priorities, and advises the dean on matters related to the college’s public image and relationships with stakeholders.

News and Media Relations

Nicole MillerNews Manager, writes news releases, magazine articles and other stories about the college. She’s in charge of distributing CALS news stories, as well as sharing faculty and staff news via the eCALS web page and e-newsletter. She also serves as the office’s primary media contact.

Caroline SchneiderWriter/Editor, writes news releases, magazine articles and other stories about CALS. She also manages the college’s social media sites (FacebookTwitter and Instagram) and maintains news content on the main CALS web page and the CALS News web page.

Michael King, Visual Communications Specialist, is responsible for producing photographic, multimedia and written content for the college’s news service, websites, Grow magazine and other communications outlets.

Nik HawkinsPublications Manager, is the editor of Grow magazine, the CALS life sciences and alumni magazine, and CALS Connection, the college’s e-newsletter for alumni. He also manages and edits a variety of special projects, including development communications, and serves as back-up photographer.

Danielle Lamberson Philipp, Graphic Designer, is responsible for the design and layout of Grow magazine and other CALS publications. Her duties also include developing and producing a wide range of print and digital materials that preserve the college’s identity and branding.

Development and Stakeholder Relations

Kara Luedtke, Development Specialist, serves as project manager to college-level priority projects, supports programs to advance the college’s development priorities, works with the college’s Board of Visitors.

Nikki Wykowski, Administrative Program Specialist, helps coordinate special events to strengthen the college’s ties with alumni, stakeholders and the community, works on advancement and development priorities, and supports the administrative functions of the department.

Annie EngebretsonAssociate Vice President and Managing Director of Development at the University of Wisconsin Foundation. Annie oversees the college’s development team. She is the department liaison for Animal Sciences, Meat Science building project, and Genetics.
