Gain Global Perspective

CALS disciplines have global reach, and today’s college graduates must be prepared for the international community in which they will live and work. CALS students take at least one course with a purposeful international focus with the goals being to: deepen student knowledge and understanding of international issues related to scientific and sociological themes in CALS; develop openness, awareness and respect with regard to other cultures; and prepare students to address global challenges as engaged employees and active citizens.

International Studies Requirement

CALS students gain global perspective by taking at least one course with an international focus. Many on-campus courses or study abroad experiences can be used to meet this college level requirement.

Study Abroad

Many CALS students choose to study abroad, which often fulfills the CALS International Studies requirement.
