Transferring to CALS from another school/college at UW-Madison
Would you like to transfer to CALS from another school/college at UW-Madison?  We would like to work with you!  Do you have the following?

• Good academic standing in your current school/college
• Meet any special requirements of your intended major
• Fewer than 86 credits

If so, make an appointment with your intended major advisor and they will assist you with initiating the transfer process.

Do you have issues with one of the above criteria, but believe that CALS would be a good fit for you?  Please come see a CALS Dean on Call to discuss your options.  Students should email deanoncall@cals.wisc.edu and provide your name, phone number, and short description of your question(s).  A Dean on Call will respond to your request to set up a meeting by phone or other remote means.  Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis, particularly for students whose earned-credit total reaches 86 credits before their fourth year of college.

Students may initiate the transfer process at any time during the semester. However, the process may take as long as four weeks.  Please plan accordingly. Please review this information for transfer students.

International Students:  You are required to inform ISS when a new major is declared.  In addition to completing this online form, you will need to complete the ISS Change of Major Notification form: https://iss.wisc.edu/applications-and-forms/

Changing major/degree programs within CALS
Are you looking to change majors within CALS?  This also includes changes in degree programs if you are switching to, from, or between Biological Systems Engineering, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Agricultural Business Management degrees.
