As a QuickStart participant, you will be enrolled in 1-2 credits of summer coursework at UW-Madison. The chart below details the summer tuition and fees. Summer tuition is due at the beginning of the program (mid-June).
Students participating in QuickStart have the opportunity to move in early to their UW residence hall. Housing charges an early move-in fee of $25/night until the regular move-in period. This charge is applied to the 2nd quarter housing bill, which is due in October.
Students living off-campus during the academic year are not required to live in UW Housing during QuickStart, but they must demonstrate they have secured housing in Madison for the program. Contact the program manager (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have questions about housing during Connect2Campus.
Beyond tuition and housing, there is no additional program fee for CALS QuickStart. A number of meals are included during Connect2Campus, as there will often be programming over lunch and dinner hours. UW Dining Halls will be open and available to students, for meals that happen outside the program.
Due to generous donors, we are able to award a number of need-based scholarships to offset QuickStart tuition. To be considered for a scholarship, you must submit your CALS QuickStart application and FAFSA by April 15, 2019. For questions about your FAFSA, contact the UW-Madison Office of Student Financial Aid.
All students who apply for scholarship consideration will be notified of any awards ahead of needing to accept their spot in CALS QuickStart.
